I am wondering if a stud could acctually breed a mare through a pipe and cable fence. Also.. it was only a couple of days she got over with in the pen next too him. She is usually slim and trim and keeps herself that way. But i have noticed she has gained some weight and when you look at her left side she is tucked up and slim. But the right side she looked like she had a hay belly and this was when she was standing on all fours. I have been sicked since saturday and coming back today to look at her she looks big on boths sides. it was not three months ago i was worried about putting weight on her and nothin has changed. Could she be pregnet and how would be the best way go about check to see if she is?

The best way is to call the vet and have her checked. I really don't know if she could get pregnant through the fence or not. How long ago has it been that you think they got together?

Mid-June.. I had thought she had come into the heat after that. but it was kind of short for her heat cycle.. She is usually a cranky old mare longer than a couple of a days. She has not been actting herself. I knew she laid down alot at night but not during 100 degree weather in her stall when she has a fan she can sit in front of and get a breeze....
Also about 3 weeks ago she has seem to started carrying herself different under saddle swing her back legs out instead of under herself. This all seem to start happening when she was getting bigger and lopsided..

Should I get her palpated or just a blood test done?
