Okay So I got my 7 year old tb mare back in sept. She came to me hundred or so pounds under weight with a bad case of worms and rainrot. I wormed her ever 4-5 weeks and she has been on schedule since. just recently In the past month or so shes been very moody and she has had this big belly! i thought worms but didnt under stand because all my horses are wormed routinely. When I touch her flank area she gets mad. And just today I learned that where she was previous to september there was a halflinger/paint stud on the property. I am going to have to have the vet come out anyway just to make sure it isnt anything more severe.! Im not sure what to think =/!! |

If her touchiness is a new behavior, something is causing it. Let us know what the vet says. |

That's great news! Congratulations! How did you find out she's pregnant? Did you have the vet exam her or did you do a pregnancy test? |

When you say "pregnancy test" are you referencing the human pregnancy test that you talked about using in this thread? Because if so, you're no further ahead, because human tests don't work on horses. Get her checked by a competent reproductive vet. |

Human tests do not work on equines. Plain and simple, they just don't. The chemistry is totallllllly different. |
