My boyfriend did not know he was suppost to skip my NCHA/QH mare on the deworming this month and I am freaking out. We bred my mare via Ai on 4/04 and he dewormed everyone the next week with Piperazine equine dewormer. (Farnam Alfalfa Pellet De-Wormer) The vet will be out to check her on Monday. What are the chances that everything will be ok? Is there still a chance she concieved???

I had the same issues. Vet said it was okay to worm her and we did 15 days before we inseminated her well we bought all the horses quest plus and I have read it has not been tested in breeding mares or preg mares. I told my vet my concerns and he assured me everything would be ok. We have my mare checked preg checked tomorrow. Let me know how yours turned out. Thanks

How did the check on your mare go? Our mare did check in foal and we are good to go. Will have her rechecked at 60d but the vet did not seem concerned as the mare has never slipped before.
