I just get this new mare a couple days ago. She out of Bloodlines I have been looking for a long time and she was in my price rang and she is very thing that I have wanting in a broodmare/show horses. I will be breeding her this year and showing her in Halter then after she has this foal I will be doing reining with her and she will not have a baby for a couple years. Looking at a picture what type of stallion would you breed her to or what bloodline would you stay away froms.
Her Reg name is DNA LT Kid N Sierra. She is out of LT Kid a very nice Halter horse picture can I have your throughs on this. She is Reg Paint and she is Solid Black. Don't mind the picture she need some weight but the person I get her from was falling on some hard times so she will be up on weight before I breed, This will be a keeper foal

Choosing the stallion depends on what you want to do with the foal...
She doesn't look like what I've seen paint people want in halter. Don't they perfer the beefy types?
She is cute and looks like she'd excel in speed events.
How old is she?

i agree with andrea. it depends on what kind of baby you want. i have a solid breeding stock paint and shes out of classical pizzaz and paint me zippo and they are western pleasure type horse.. i wanted a western type foal so i looked for that kind of stallion.. plus i wanted to get a paint and certain color.. so it depends on what color and what style of preformance.. and how much ur wanting to pay for the stallion..

She is 4yrs old breed for halter. I'm looking for alround horses. She is a halter horse all the way but she can to reining like no other. She is a good girl but she lacks color . I would love a wimp little step bloodlines but those are way out of my price rang. I was offer a Andalusian breeding which I love the breed and would love a cross but I'm not sure of the cross. Would you stay with the beefy or for a baby from her or would you go with a little be more sporty type stallion. I just want to her your though on if she was your mare what you would breed her to. I do have a friend who has a friesian stallion that I could use but I would like to start to lean to reining lines and build

well i think if your wanting all around i dunno if id breed her to a big style horse.. id stick with paints or qh.. if your wanting color breed her to like a palomino or buckskin or paint to throw some color cause of her being like a black color the light horse "palomino buckskin" will help throw a light color baby.. there is alot of good stallions out there that doesnt cost alot.. reinin dont need stocky type horse
