I have a mare who we bought last year and bred by live cover to our leased stallion. His first breeding. After breeding (not directly after so as not to confuse you that this was breeding induced) I noticed pin prick sized blood spots on the tissue just inside the vulva lips. The mare checked in foal and has stayed in foal (due any day). The spots persist. Sometimes there is more, sometimes less, rarely none.
I just bred another mare a two weeks. I've been breeding this mare for several years now and know what is normal or not for her. I noticed one pin prick spot in the same place as this other mare.
