This time of year I am busy with several activities...1 is selling the rest of the foals and youngsters and any mares that are not core to the operation; 2 is carefully watching the mares entering their last trimester; 3 is choosing breeding stallions for next season and 4 is looking at the young fillies that may be ready to add to the brood mare band. I try to have two or three weanling, yearling or two year old fillies that are potential keepers for the program.

I thought pictures of the girls I have now might be of interest and I could get some feedback...

The black one is actually a dark gray filly who will be 3 in 2009..
The bay is also coming three and is named Jezebel...she has explosive movement but seems to be immature and I will be waiting another year to breed her.
The last one is Bruja. She will be two. White markings are very uncommon in this breed but I couldn't resist her. She has extremely high knee and hock action which makes her pretty spectacular to watch.

Hi Terry,

Well I can't comment on Bruja, as I don't believe I've seen her move. But I do really like Jezebel. During that last photoshoot I was very impressed with her sporthorse-type movement. I also like Preciosa. I honestly know nothing about PRE Bloodlines, but coming from a Dressage point of view, I think Jezebel is a lovely filly ;)
