Does anyone have any Ultra Sound pics they could post from the 6/7 month or later? I have surfed the web but cant seem to find any that far along. I watched my vet do the ultra sound and would like to see something to compare what I saw. I really appreciate any help. Thankyou!

Ultrasound images at that point, unless of specifics such as CTUP or orbital diameter, are not generally used, as only a small amount of the fetus will be visible. It's not like humans, where a considerable portion of the fetus is visible. :-)

i just went threw this!! the vet said there is no way cuz he couldnt see a baby. but her uterus was swollen and overies were shrank. i waited 2 months and got a different vet, it only took him about a min to say "WOW, shes very pregnant" I got the ultrasound so that my vet couldnt skrew it up (known for that) and he still did! the other vet only did a palp!

Well the vet did an ultrasound saying she was looking for an eye, nose, or hoof, something, anything BIG at this point in time. So...she showed me the ultrasound pic and commented that her uterus was the size of a beach ball and had fluid....but she felt no foal in the palp. Meantime her belly continues to get larger. Not so much wide as long and dropped down. Has the V shape. She is a bit wide but "longer" and "deeper dropped" than wide....

all i can say is prepare for a foal, treat her like she has one and get a differnt vet. I was told she was swollen and had fuild but no baby, and something was possibly wrong with her becuase she had the signs but no baby. we are 8 months right now and i can fell the baby moving. set your ear up to the back of the belly and push under by her udders. just a light push or a med strengh pat a few times and just listen, you will here the normal gut sounds ( listen to a different horse if you dont know the sounds) but you can should a woosh like what you hear while your swiming and some times even a thump or feel a foot -- it will be really light tell about 8 months then you can really start to fell the hoofs flying. dont make the mare missrable with this ! they dont appreceate the extra kicking.

ever time the baby moves a lot my mare kicks the barn! she will squeal and kick then look around like how could you do that-at me or what ever horse or cat is around!!
