Got a due date zone, guess based on the size of an eye from and ultrasound how acurate are they that way, since I did'nt get her papers yet on the sire date, we did a palp. an ultasound, my vets guess is mid June, but she did say very active big baby... so YES she is definitly PREGO}}

Accuracy is pretty good. Seeing as the range of "normal" gestational duration is anywhere between 320 and 370 days, I guess it actually only has to be accurate to about 50 days!!! :-)

Ultrasounds are as accurate as the person operating them.

I agree with Cathy. My vet sucks, not good at all. He can't find a foal on an ulrasound to save his life. I end up just having them checked at the breeding farm and then him palpating. I am only SURE I have a foal when I see them start moving at around 7-8 months, lol.

Oh I thank God everyday I live in Ocala, which next to Lexington is one of the most important repro cities in the country so we get some of the best repro vets in the country here and they still miss stuff, after all vets are human too!
