If it were strangles since January you would be talking about her horse in the past tense.

Oops forgot to put in my two cents worth, have you thought of a tooth gone bad?

True Cathy, didn't think of that! Horse probably wouldn't still be around
Tawnya, where exactly is she swollen? Throatlatch area? Does the whole area seem swollen or is there just a lump? Like Cathy said, maybe a tooth abcessed? Either way, I think you will eventually need a vet.

hi again. No it would be between the jaw and muzzle underneath.. its just a hard lump like a chunk of food stuck there, but there isnt. She is healthy and eats great, no cough or problems. Just the lump has gotten noticeably bigger. You can now see it frmo side. I will have to take her to vet.. had to take macaw today for illness. They all need it at same time!

Isn't that the truth! It could just be her teeth coming in. The bottom of their jaws can get pretty lumpy as their adult teeth move in. My 3 yr old has a lump right now. If it continues to get bigger you will want to rule out an infection or something broken. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Thank you..I will try to get a photo of it to show you all and make sure.. I just hate wasting money on a vet if it is something somewhat normal.. here is $50 for them to just come out then $$ on top of that for anything they do.
