Any antibiotics safe for the pregnant mare in the final 2 weeks of pregnancy? One developed a snotty nose this morning, though I have my feelings it may be due to the fact she started to be bedded on straw yesterday in preparation for upcoming foaling and quite possibly may be allergic. Vet is coming tomorrow but thought anyone might have ideas to get me thinking tonight.
Unless she has a fever or the vet recommends it, I wouldn't automatically put her on antibiotics. If you do need to use antibiotics bactrim as Cathy mentioned is safe and commonly used
