I have a witchy mare that I sent out to training. The mare doesn't have bad heats or bad conformation in her girl parts. She's just strong willed and not afraid to give you a nasty look or refuse a cue and pin her ears back and threaten to strick a hind. She's a witch. Sent her out to trainers to have them work this attitude out of her and they performed the caslick procedure on her, they said it will give her a better work ethic. Has anyone ever heard of this enhancing attitude or is this a bunch of crap? (sorry if this is a repeat post, this is my 2nd try at getting this question posted.)

I think that it is probably a bunch of crap. The only way I can even possibly see a Caslick's helping with attitude would be if the mare did have bad conformation in her "girl parts", lol, and was constantly infected and uncomfortable.
Have you investigated other causes of pain that would cause her to have this attitude? Back or teeth, improperly fitted saddle?

No health issues. She sound, moves like a million bucks, no teeth issues either. I think the surgery she needed was a lobotomy, not caslick.
