I am just wondering if anybody has any mares that have undergone this proceedure. Wondering how the mares fertility was post surgery.
Where you able to achieve a sucessful pregnancy with the mare post surgery.

Any input would be appreciated

Check out the article on this website about GCT's. It should answer your questions.

My friend's mare had one. They did the first ovary through a flank incision but she still retained some stallion behavior in concurrence with nymphomania. They ended up spaying her, even though the other ovary was normal looking.

Thanks for your feedback...and link to the article.

I guess I was hoping to find some positive feedback through someone's personal experience with their mare ....like yes my mare had this surgury two years, ago and currently has a foal at side, and is bred back for 2007

This mare has conceived and carried a foal prior to the surgery....and I guess and I going to give it try to get her in foal now post surgery (which was over 6 months ago)

Wish us luck!
