Ok this will sound stupid i know. But i bred a mare and ultrasounded her at 17,25 and 33 days on the 33 days she seemed like she had lost the embryo so gave her a few days and said lets lutalyse her so we did she started showing heat on the third day i ultrasounded her and she had a 32mm on the left so today i check her again and it was about the same size i started looking around in there and found an embryo.. now my question is. Is it possible she will not lose it? would she have slipped it already after the shot?
It will depend upon if the endometrial cups had grown in and were functionally secreting eCG and had caused the production of secondary CLs and hence an elevated progesterone level.
As she has started displaying estrus, I wouldn't hold out too much hope though...
