and mare is actually still in foal, but vet missed it? Dilemma...mare was bred, scanned in foal 14 days later and also at day 18...brought mare home....this past Sunday, scanned for heartbeat (different vet, same clinic) and vet could not find embryo....she still had good tone and CL on right side. Mare not really coming back into heat, just not doing anything...has been checked once since and still not doing anything and still has CL...was U/S again today to check for progression, nothing really going on, but still CL on right side. Vet that confirmed pregnancy said it was in right horn. Vet wants to check her again on Friday and if not progression, wants to short cycle her...what if she missed the pregnancy? HMMMM...not sure what to do...just trust her and move on?

Ooops, sorry about the typo in the heading...doesn't even make sense....shot to short cycle....I'm going breeding nutz!!

Prior to about 36 days post-ovulation/fertilization, you will cause pregnancy loss.
