Hello everyone.

I have a tricky mare that has me running in circles. She was bred in late 2006 and appeared to catch. Several months later before she was ultrasounded she started going into heat again so we figured that she had slipped the foal or we had been mistaken.

Well I had this sneaking supicion that she was in deed pregnant but she was on a breeding lease at the time with the stallion owner so she was just going to re-breed her in the spring. Well low and behold in the new year she got that preggy look so she was ultrasounded and yep we had a gorgeous filly that spring.

She was rebred for a 2008 foal and was confirmed in foal. Well spring rolls around and you can bet she looked pregnant and had us and several other convinced that she was expecting. She as ultrasounded at 7 months again and no foal. :-( Even after the ultrasound she had me almost convinced that she was in fact pregnant. We rebred her again and she is Due march 6th. I am concerned as she bagged up way in advance in 2007 and foaled 6 days early but she still isn't bagged up much at all though she sure looks pregnant. She is an older seasoned mare this being her 5th baby.

I know last time she foaled it was in july so i am wondering if the weather is playing a part? I live up in alberta and last night was -40 degrees so it is COLD dispite her coming in at night and cold days.

Here are some pictures of her. The first two are from summer time and the last few are very recent as we keep watch.

What do you guys think? is she pregnant still which was confirmed early in the year or is she playing games with me again!?

Sorry guys. I should have taken those last pictures BEFORE feeding time as she is a piggy and likes to wear for her supper as much as she likes to eat it *dies*

Hi....She looks preggers to me......you know she might not go at the same time this time around..perhaps she is cooking you a colt :-) I know my mare's first foal she went 380 days yep 1 year and 2 weeks frustrating! 2nd foal she went 365 days and her last foal she went 340...so you could still have some time to go. Has she started to bag at all? Are you sure she was not exposed to fesque?
