Has anyone had any experience of, or know if it is possible for a blood test to produce a false negative result? My little mare was tested negative a couple of months ago but continues to grow and hasnt shown a season all summer despite being regularly teased. She would be due mid september if she was pregnant.
False positives or negatives are always a possibility. Ultrasound is more reliable in some cases if the ultrasonographer is experienced.
