Can anyone help me, We have a mare we are considering breeding and would like to know what if any tests can be done on our mare to see if she can be breed, to see if she is fertile and able to be breed or not, before we put out the big bucks for the stud fees

You can biopsy her uterus I believe.

Check out the articles section of this web site - there are articles there dealing with specifically what you are asking (follow that link or click on the sperm and egg logo at the top of this page).

Thanks for the help, the vet said they was several tests called pre-pregnacy tests but unless I spend over $2000 on the testing I could not be sure unless I tried to breed her and see what happens, I did not expect it to be that much but then again, the breeder wants $5000 and up for the sperm from one of the 3 studs we wanted so I guess the testing is still cheaper

Find another vet. That's way over the top of any going rate for a breeding soundness examination that I've ever heard of.
