I have several problem older (ages 11 - 18)very well bred Warmblood mares that that are not getting in foal are either .. 1)are barren after producing several foals AND are not infected (shipping semen and live cover) or 2) recently foaled and are not getting back in foal with shipped semen or live cover. As I am about to give up for the current season and want to be ready for the next, I found this product on the internet (England Only) and am wondering if it is available in the U.S. and if anyone has had luck with it. It is an herbal supplement called: Equifertil.
Or can anyone have any herbal remedies that they totally swear by....
I can't comment on the product you outline specifically, having not used it, but I have had great success breeding a lot of older mares using the oxytocin protocol that is laid out in the article section on the site (follow that link). 3 years ago we bred 40 mares in their 20's and had an 80% pregnancy rate, and I have no doubt that the fact that each of those mares went through the protocol had an important part to play in those figures.
Plus it's cheap and easy...
