Anyone ever use the product SETTLE? I'm thinking about trying it on 2 of my mares that loss their embryo. My vet thinks it's a good product, however has never used it personally, so couldn't say too much about it. Does anyone know how long it has to be implanted before breeding? Any info would be great, thanks!

Hi Jackie,

There are people on here with much more knowledge than I but I can speak from personal one time experience:-) Last year was the first time I tried to AI my mare. She seemed to have a clearing issue and I asked my vet about "SETTLE". She had heard of it never used it did some research and spoke to UC Davis and others and we decided to give it a try on our thrid attempt. It seems to me it was an injection and it was used when she was coming into heat, I think it is suppose to rev up her immune response system to clear her uterus out after breeding. I am happy to report that it worked for us. Now that is 100% effective for me:-) But like I said I know others have more iformation and different experiences but thats mine and we are now on day 314. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I just spoke with my vet and she's going to get some more info on it and talk to some people that have used it and then decide if it would be good for my mares. I thought it was used prior to breeding, like you said, but my vet said it was something to do post-breeding? I know absolutely nothing about it, so I don't know, maybe there's more than one way to use it. As long as I can get healthy foals out of my mares, I'll be happy!

I love Settle. If you use it twice and your mare does not concieve they will refund your money. I infuse it into their uterus post breeding, usually like 6 hours post breeding.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm going to try it on my 2 mares when we rebreed in a couple weeks and hopefully all will go well!
