I don't want to get my hopes up, so thought I would see what the expert(s) thought.
My 17.1hh mare had two follicles on Monday, one on each side; a 37 and a 40. She was given hcg (has blown of deslorelin). Tuesday morning the mare is inseminated with semen collected at 1 PM on Monday. Semen was of average quality. Mare is checked Wednesday late morning and she had not ovulated. It was too late to get semen for that day or the next morning. Then the mare was checked Thursday morning at 9:30 AM and she ovulated on the left. The right had not ovulated. Edema was decreasing. We counter to countered semen. When checked at 9:30 PM Thursday the mare had ovulated and was inseminated again.
Any thoughts on her chances of being in foal? Mare has a good biopsy and clean culture.
