The mare I am considering has been bred twice to the same stallion. On the first foal she had a cesarean section and a dead foal. The next breeding she aborted. Is it possible to have a successful breeding after? Is there anything you can do to make the pregnancy succeessful? What are the odds she'll need another C-section? The mare is offered for sale quite cheap, would she be worth the risk?
Without knowing the reason for the first C-section it is difficult to comment on the likelihood of subsequent need for another. It is not generally like humans though, and a mare that has had a C-section does not automatically need one on subsequent pregnancies.
Without knowing the various causes of C-section and pregnancy loss, one cannot really comment on a potential connection there either, but the chances of there being a connection are probably low.
