Hi guys, i am just really needing to let off some steam about this breeding lark!!!!!
I am having NO luck this year, Hebrea was pregnant 3 weeks ago...not anymore!!back to the stallion for her!!
My other mare grannika had 1 failed AI attempt and we are waiting on results of the 2nd....next week 18 days are up!
My third mare has now 2 failed attempts and we must AI AGAIN next week!!
And my final mare a maiden wont come in to season...or rather she comes into season but doesnt produce a decent follicle only lots of little ones and as she is a maiden the vet wanted to do it naturally, now we will start regumate but we have been ultra sounding since february because we didnt want to miss it!! I cant beleive it, we have already been trying for nearly 3 months and we have not one foal due before April...well no foal due at all actually!!I am sooooooo frustrated!!!!!

I feel you pain, It sounds like my year last year. The year the vet was pushing to start in Feb, but I decided to wait the mares out. I just couldn't stand to push again like last year.

Ruby has finally just had a good heat cycle with the teaser. My Trake mare is still not with the program.

I am only trying 2x for each mare this year. I told the vet not to waste her tries!

(Mare is a 4-letter word) Fingers crossed for you!

That is exactly what i thought of...buying my own stallion!! But unfortunately i need a westfalian jumping licenced stallion and they cost more than i can afford!
And i thought i had started early???
I need a fertility statue or something in my stable ha ha!! I also sent my goat to the daddy goat and shes not pregnant either so i am starting to think i am cursed!!!

Have you tried burning some sage?

(We did.)

My mother had a dream that there were pink and blue foals cavorting in the pasture. She thinks it is a sign of babies to come--I'll go with that!
