My Vet has told me I may devide the HCG shots from the vile in to four shots and freeze the extra shots for furture use instead of wasting them Can anyone tell me if they have done this and the shots still work?

I just refrigerated them, then again I would use them in a month or so. Have not used HCG in a while except when I have multiple follicles and deslorelin wuld cause a definate twining.

Karen Our vet clinic does just that. We pull the usual dose up in syringe and freeze them. When we need one we hold it in our hand for about 5 min. to thaw.

You can safely use them in the same breeding season - I wouldn't carry them over to the next season though. We do exactly as Cathy describes - freeze in individual syringes and thaw in the hand. Works well and is cheaper than many other ovulation-inducing drugs.
