I bred a mare last July. Later in the season. We short cycled her and A/I'd her. We ultrasounded her once on the 14th day. Could not see anything the vet said we can ultra sound her if she doesn't come into heat. Well she came into a short heat and maybe one more but I can't remember. Anyway she is getting really big in the belly. I didn't think anything of it because I give her a lot of hay during the winter. THen the other day. Her belly was noticeablly larger on one side. Today bothsides are equal. Could she possible be in foal after a heat cycle. Should I get her palpated? Or just wait a few months.

I would get her checked by a vet. Ultrasound may be the best bet. If she is pregnant she's going to need supplements soon (if she's due in June, then supplements need to start in March). It's really the only way to know for sure.
