i have a stallion a mini who is 32.75 and the miniature donkey im trying to get him to breed is 34 . i saw him breed her once. but he rather try to attpt to breed are 14 and paint lol . how can i get him more ntresested in th donkey. is he less intrested because she is a donkey or that dosent matter? thanx

Unless they grow up with donkeys, and just donkeys, most studs donít think of them as girlfriend material. You can try to pull a switch on him and let him tease the horse, then breed the donkey, but it could also be that the donkey isnít cycling anymore given how late in the year it is.

and i have seen him try to breed her once but i dont think once will work thanx

He could have got her "stuck" earlier this year. When pasture breeding, our stud covers most of his mares in the night or early morning. Given his pasture runs right under my window, I usually notice but it is possible that you might have missed it. The real question is how interested is the Jenny in him?

she likes him she dosent flirt with him but hes pretty interested in her. she will stand for him and let him o his job!!

I have a 3yr old stallion. We have been collecting him since he was two.. We only bred a few mares and trained him to the phantom. I thought when he turned 3 he would get more excited about the whole process. This year he still needed a mare right next to the phantom. This makes it a three person project. I am looking for suggestions for how to get him past this and jump for collection with out having the mare right next to him. Any suggestions?
