I have a 3 yr old Tennessee Stallion who has Rain rot"Rain Scalds" on his back and hips I have tried everything to getr rid of it and cant. Please someone tell me how to get rid if this problem.

I have not had a problem with it, but my brother used a idione shampoo Daily and he said it took a bit but his horse cleared up.

we give iodine baths too..when it's too cold to bathe them, there are some good antifungal products out there that help. if the horse has a severe case, I've heard of them needing to be on antibiotics to get over it as they can develop a secondary infection. Depending on how long he's had it, and how severe it is, you may need to call your vet.

Penicillin is the best treatment for a severe case. Talk to your vet!
