I have seen it posted many times that anyone breeding horses needs to get "Blessed are the Broodmares". As I don't own this book yet,I have been looking around online to find it. I also found the companion book to it, called "Blessed are the Foals". I was wondering if it was neccessary to get both books, or if "Broodmares" was sufficient. Also, does anyone have any other suggestions for good pregnancy/foaling books? I have four mares due in April/May, and I want to be fully prepared.

If you want to get the book and actually talk to the author... She is on a group on the yahoo group list called foalwatch.... If you find it, join it... It is a very VERY good group!

There is information about joining the foalwatch group on the EquineRepro@yahoogroups.com website at EquineRepro.org. It's listed in the "list rules" for the EquineRepro list as an alternative for those people interested only (or primarily) in the foaling aspect.

I have some of the books from your book recommendation. Wow, they are fantastic. I was curious if you have a recommendation for a good equine anatomy or anatomy and physiology book.
