Hey everyone, I haven't been on here in a long time, but I just had a question. When I try and take my two year old for a walk on the road, he starts acting up really bad and rearing and stuff because he hates being separated from the other horses.I would really like to try and find a solution for this because I don't want him to act like that later on when I want to go for rides. Does anyone know how I could fix this? Thanks!
I saw one of the horse trainers on T.V. address this one time with a horse they ride.
They worked it on the ground, near the other horse. They would give it breaks when they moved away from the other horse a little, slowly working farther and farther out. The horse learned it was easier to be away from the horse, than near it, because near the horse is where the work took place.
I have a very herd bound horse and it is tough. Hopefully someone else will have some ideas.
