There have been some exciting happening around here
First off, a couple weeks ago we took Riley, Gracie's 2009 filly by Solomon to a Gold Rated Welsh show. She was a total star Even at only 9 months old, when they usually look like a yak, she was stunning. She won first place 2 & under Half Welsh under both judges, and was placed Reserve Champion Half Welsh (a big accomplishment for a youngster to do so well against mature ponies). I can't wait to continue showing her.
We will also have a new stallion joining us next year. He's a very well bred red roan Section B Welsh. I can't wait for him to get here, it will be a couple weeks yet before he makes it out to California though. I will have pictures as soon as he gets here!! We are so excited
I weaned the last foal today, at 5 months. I just took the mare, Bailey, to the pasture at the other end of the property, and it is going very smoothly.
We are arranging breedings for next year, and so far have breedings purchased to some very exciting stallions, as well as using my two Welshes.
We are also in the process of developing a new website, I hope to get it up within 2 weeks It will be the same URL. It looks great so far, and I work on it whenever I have spare time, I can't wait for some feedback on it.
Let's just face it, and say this right now. We ALL KNEW Riley was fantastic the day she was born!! I expected she would do great things! Congratulations on a great filly!! I can't wait to see your new stallion...
Thanks Diana! I think Riley is pretty special too I can't wait till she's three and I can start riding her! Though I guess I shouldnt' get too ahead of myself. It goes without saying that this cross will be repeated next year
If anybody is extremly anxious, email me at email@example.com and I will email you a few pics of the new boy. I don't want to spread them around cause they don't really do him justice LOL.
Also, my filly with the developmental issue is doing well. She still coughs now and then, but her lungs continue to stay clear. I hope we've got this beat. I'll be taking her in for another endoscopy around the end of Novemeber I think. She's such a sweatheart, I don't think they come and more willing than this little girl. I see such a lovely balance of her sire and dam in her... can't wait to take her out and show next year!!
Hi everybody....been on vacation away from everything but back now with exciting news from WATCHMAN....Fabulilla and Doctora have achieved Qualified Status....the Spanish committee was here in CA and only chose 5 mares in the U.S. Am I excited or what?
Samantha, congratulations on your wonderful horses and breeding program. Your filly is a LOOKER!
Looking forward to hearing about the beautiful foals to come, out of your new stallion! Post us a pic, okay?
