I use a human stethoscope and it works fine. I'm not sure if there's even an equine stethoscope available. I also use a human digital thermometer again I'm not sure that there's a special one for horses. Every vet I've ever seen has used a human stethoscope and thermometer. I get the thermometer in the local chemist/ pharmacy. Thermometers are not expensive, I live in Ireland and they're about 10 euro. Stethoscopes vary in price depending on the quality from about 30-300 euro. The one I like best is a Littmann and costs about 80 euro. I use a stethoscope at work every day and ordered it through a medical supplies company. Hope this helps
Thanks. The human thermometer seems so short! But I noticed the stable manager at the college I attend uses a human one. So thanks. I guess that answers that question!
