Hi, I am very curious to know if anyone or their vet. is now using the newer Prevanile West Nile Vaccine. It's sounds very good and is said to actually prevent the virus not just minimize it's effects. I also very much like the idea of giving it once a year instead of twice. We are in Texas so it's reccomended we do them twice a year due to the weather we have. I currently use the Fort Dodge west nile vaccine but am considering the new prevanile and would love to hear any advice or info. anyone may have on this. I would be administering to a wide variety of horses from 2-28yrs., geldings, mares, stallions. Many Thanks
Phyllis, I too use the Fort Dodge vaccine. Here in South Carolina, our mosquitos are already "busy". We also are recommended to vaccinate twice a year. I've seen the Prevanile advertised recently. Didn't pay much attention. I would be interested too.
