I've seen many products at feed stores and online, recommended for joints and the like. My mare has a muscle injury. Can anyone recommend a medication or supplement that they have used with good results? And obviously, one that is safe for a pregnant mare and nursing baby.
I don't know why I haven't asked this question before.
We have a 20 horses and over half of them are rescues. We have everything from arthritis to 4 cases of navicular. We use buteless liquid and fluid flex liquid as well as the needed scripts for our horses with these issues. I don't know that this will be of much value with a muscle injury. But with joint issues we have had great success with these two liquids. Hope this helps some!
Michelle, I want to thank-you so much for the info. I asked my vet and he had a medication that is basically, equine glucosamine. It is safe for pregnant and nursing mares. A bit pricey ($80.00 a month) but I will look for a cheaper supplier later. Anyway, I put her on it and am hopeful she will respond. Thanks again!
