Hi all: My daughter has been invited by one of the older ladies at our barn to join local pony club. (The young lady is 18 and started when she was 7). This sounds like an excellent thing for my 11 year old to get involved with...sounds like they learn so much about the horses, riding and teamwork...anyone have any input for me?

Hi Kim, I am a graduate "B" Pony Clubber as well as my sister. We started when we were younger and thought it was great. I am now the DC for my local club as well as the Instructor. I also still stay in touch with my Region. It is a wonderful learning experience as well as allot of fun. I now have my own Training, Lesson, and Boarding facility and Pony Club taught me allot and prepared me for this. My sister does not have time to ride anymore but Pony Club and all the activates did look good on her résumé as allot of her first jobs were with Pony Clubber. Hope this helps you. Also go to their website for more information.

Kim you will learn a bunch of stuff. We always joked that my parents could pass a C2 rating if they didn't have to ride.
