Has anyone on this forum ever used it? it`s licensed for cattle and sheep only in the UK but my vet has sold me it for use in horses on the understanding that I know there are some risks, I`ve been using it for a few years now with no issues but I have always avoided using it on pregnant mares or young foals, we dectomax everything after foaling and before they go out to grass. It`s good at treated mange mites in heavily feathered horses.
Anyway my queery is that it treats sucking lice, I seem to be having a bit of an issue with lice on my horses right now and the powders don`t seem to be getting on top of it, can anyone tell me if the species of lice dectomax covers is the same species horses get?

Sucking Lice
Haematopinus eurysternus
Linognathus vituli
Solenopotes capillatus
Mange Mites
Psoroptes bovis
Sarcoptes scabiei

Hmm i'll be interested in learning more living in Arkansas the bugs tend to get the best of me. do you know anything good for ticks? I put vinegar in my horses water and it helps some with the bugs. It is also good for the immune system.

Thank You Zoe. I'm not sure about the scientific names either
