HAs anyone used this before? I have a mare that was accidentally bred once by our old stud. Really didn't think she was bred --acted in heat alot since. But thought I would buy a kit and test to be sure. She has a definate red stripe where the pregnancy thing should be then a really faint stripe by the other letter. Reading the directions it says with positive pregnancy test they could have a faint second stripe that will completely fade --I had to leave for work so don't know if its completely gone or not but was very faint in the first place--not even close to as dark as the other line. So now I am unsure--is it a positive or a negative???

Dorthy, I've never used the pregnancy test for horses but I'm an OB/GYN nurse and have seen numerous human pregancy tests like that and when we do it's a positive test. You're pregnant! I would think it's the same but I'm not a 100% sure.

Well I e-mailed the Wee Foal company as well as a research place that actually invented or did the testing on the WEE foal kit. The company "thinks" its a negative test but are going to send me another one to try again in a couple weeks. The scientist at the research place says definately a positive test. He said the second line would be much darker if she was not pregnant. So I still have no idea--I will just test her again when I get the new test and know then!!

I would LOVE for her to be bred--we do not have the stud anymore and wow they would have a lovely foal together. But then I will be so tempted to keep it. I will hope she is bred and its a colt--I don't like dealing with colts after about 6months so I think it would be easier to sell

I hope she is bred and it's a colt then :-) When my mare gave me a colt we had him gelded at 4 months because he was already so studdy :-)
