I had a gorgeous filly walking horse born 2 weeks early and she could not stand it was like her back legs were jello... She tried and tried but it never happend. We fed her milk and let her suck our pony when she wanted but she could not stand to reach her 16+ hand mother. This went on for 2 days and she was doing fine... she has more energy and was standing on her own for a few minutes but then she started going down hill, then her right eye... she had blue eyes... but her right one turned a floresent green then she died. Our neighbor also had a month old cremello foal that was healthy and entergetic thats eyes turned floresnt green and it died the next day.

I would consult your vet on anything with a new foal. Always remember with foal you have a very short time line to fix things. I had a foal a few years ago get a temp one night at feed time, vet came out that night, He was admitted to the clinic by 7pm and he was dead by midnight.
