I recently ordered a supplemet called Mare Care by AniMed, out of the Horse Health USA catalog. Has anyone used it? Any opinions? Anybody recommend any others?
Thanks

I'm not sure about that one but I feed an awesome one thats called Horseguard. www.horseguard.com/view.content/96/197/
The main benefit to this one is that it contans an orfanic form of Selenium that is much more useable to the horse with less risk of toxicity than the other forms. It's got all kinds of other good stuff in it too but truly this is one of the only supplements I've tried that I saw a really big difference in their coats, attitudes, and general health. So thats what I feed and recommend (and no I'm not a distributor or anything just a satisfied customer)

I had been using Sho Glo with great results. But I wanted to try a more broodmare specific supplement.

calf mana is also a wonderful supplement. can be purchased at TSC or most any other feed store. It is not just for calves and has a feeding chart for most horses on back.

I've used Calf Manna too, with good results. I have them on this stuff called Mare Care. It is too early to see how it does.
