I have a 20 year old quarter horse mare who is 5 months pregnant. When we went to pick her up from the breeder she was unusually skinny. She was kept in a small dirt corral and was supposedly fed hay and grain everyday. Yet when she came home you could see ribs, shoulder, and begining to see tail bone. My horse has always be fat and healthy and had no problem staying that way. We took to get her ulta sound and were told that she was pregnant. Now she is supposedly 5 months pregnant, but every since she came home I have notice that she has been leaking a clear white substance from her vigina. Now she is still doing this just in larger quantities. she will walk around with her tail up and it looks like she is urinating only she doesn't squat and the liquid is clear and white. Does anyone know what this could be, she's never done this during any of her other pregnancies.

How was she checked for pregnancy? Did you have a vet evaluate her before she came home? My guess is she may not be pregnant at all and showing signs of estrus. Just a guess. If her body score was that bad she may have had trouble conceiving. Good luck, I hope everything turns out ok for you.
