My vet wants to use regumate on my mare for at least the first 14 days of pregnancy, they will then test and see if the mare needs to be on it longer. All because of the mares age. Can I run a test before the mare is bred to see if she actually needs regumate to keep her in foal? I hate to mess with nature unless it is necessary. Plus, I don't want to create a mare that is dependant on regumate to maintain a pregnancy!
