Hi Jos

If we give PG at 0.2 of a ml for two days in a row will this still bring the mare on so that she can actually take a pregnancy?
We have PG'd this way before and taking the first PG as DAY ONE, the 2nd as DAY TWO the mare's are starting to show on DAY THREE and by DAY FOUR they are standing.
With the two tiny PG shots 24ish hours apart will the mare still ovulate? Or is it a "false season"

Provided the mare has a CL present that is receptive to prostaglandin, there will be no difference in response from the "full" dose to the micro-dose, save that she will not display the unpleasant side-effects commonly seen with the full dose (sweating, cramping etc.).

JOS - What would be the PROSTAGLANDIN micro-dosage for a 11.2 hand welsh mare (350 - 400 lbs)?

1/10th of the standard dose, two days in a row.
