We have a mare that has been undersaddle 4-5 months and we have found that she needs to be on Regu-Mate while in training. She is hypersensitive without it.
The problem is that after 1 1/2 months of success with the ReguMate, she is now coming into heat while on it. She started on 12cc and then after she starting cycling again we upped it to 14 cc. This morning I noticed that she is in heat again.

Has anyone else had a mare that cycles threw Regu-Mate?

Mares can and will produce follicles and ovulate through Regu-Mate.

How big is your mare?

Just started my mini-mare on Regumate after foaling late foal..Was intending to keep her on it until March since she runs with the stallion.. The last posting scares me...Also is it safe to keep a mare on that stuff for that long???

We have a warmblood (huge) mare who apparently cycles thru depo provera. her behavior when coming into her heat cycle is so aggressive (kicking, biting, cant catch) that we arent sure what to do. no one wants to handle her to turn her out to pasture except my trainer and I. they are considering regumate but I would like to breed her and hate to do this as I have read many instances where it adversely affected repro. cycles.. she is a sweetand loves to work, also seems 'off' but we cannot find a cause. she is sensitive to touch, all muscles tense up and she acts out, trainer says epsm? help!!!
