What is the recommended procedure? My vet said to administer a double dose of prostin, two cc's two days in a row. This mare may or may not have been bred by a yearling colt. I have given her one dose of the prostin, but I worry about giving it again. The mare was so miserable, sweating profusely, extremely crampy and with the heat, I am concerned about dehydration. Any advice would be appreciated.

I saw our stallion bree our two year old filly. I don't know if she caught, but I don't want her to be bred this early. What is the best way to terminate this possible pregnancy?

It is unlikely that this 2YO filly caught - as she is likely not even cycling this early in the season. The stallion may have mounted and possibly even had a successful ejaculation - but if the filly isn't cycling -then she won't have a breedable follicle. Have her u/s 14 days post breeding to find out for sure if this caught - or have your vet palp her to find out if she's even cycling yet.
