Looking for someone to assist me in creating a breeding strategy with the end result to be a 12 to 13 hand foxtrotting pony that will meet the registry rules for the new Missouri Foxtrotting Pony Breed Association. I need to work within the guidelines of the new MFTPBA registry and at least one parent must be a registered MFT but the other may be any breed, registered or not, of pony while the books remain open.
I do have 1 registered MFT mare that is 13.3 hands and is being double registered as a pony and a small, gaited stallion of registered Miniature horse breeding that was oversized (41 inches)and therefore not registered. He is gaited, not a foxtrot but definitely not trotty. He may be registered with the American Gaited Pony registry, pending inspection by video. Breeding to reduce size without sacrificing the FT gait is my goal. Thanks cathill@alltel.net
