My mare Mona is now at 336. Her bag is HUGE, she is ginormous and her vulva is so loose and long and no longer closes.

She started early this morning in obvious discomfort, she kicks her belly, rolls her lips when she urinates (which is about every 10-15 minutes) she's been having trouble the last few days walking as she has such loose hips that her coorination is affected.

She's been sweating and looks to have a little mucus in the vulva tonight.

My concern is how long should this last? It's obvious she is uncomfortable but is still eating and deficating so I'm assuming it isn't colic.

I'm hoping for her sake that she foals tonight her body just looks so tired and ready

It could be the baby turning for positioning into the birth canal. The sweating however, could very well indicate the first stag of labor, which could last anywhere from an hour to a day or so. My advice would be to stay with her. In my humble opinion, it sounds as though foaling is imminent.

And it's a filly! Born at 1:30am at 337 days she's black for now but I'm thinking she will be a gray like mom.
