Hi! I am trying to register riley in the Palomino Assosiation but I dont know what name to register him under. Here are my ideas: 1.Moonshines Riley Blu 2.Moonshines Hunk of Gold 3.Moonshines Riley Boy 4. Moonshines drunken Cowboy I dont know I really like 1 and 2 but I dont know which one to put first. He is going to be a platium gold when he's older. His moms name is Aspen and his dads name is Fantasma's Moonshine. THANKS! |

I really like Moonshine on Aspen! That's brilliant! You could still call him Riley for his barn name. I'm new to this and was thinking you should fit the barn name into the registered name somehow, but my breeder friend said no, not at all necessary. So my filly is Brandy, but her registered name is Chance's Delightful Gold (I only got my third choice). |

How does the choices work. Does the registry try to give you the first one? Why wouldn't the first one be available. Is it if some other horse has that EXACT name or some name close? Or maybe do they secretly pick the one they like?Hmmm |

I like Moonshine on Aspen but I feel like there needs to be another word after like...Moonshine on Aspen leafs(sp) or something. That is really pretty and soothing. I think it may be my 2nd choice and I think Moonshines Riley Blu might be my first. How should I spell Blue? I like Blu. Any other ideas? He has Sugar Bars in his line so I heard maybe to put him in there somewhere in the name to get reconized more? Thanks! |

Elena, I was wondering the same thing about how they choose from your three choices! Especially since I got my last choice. But I was told that you can never reuse a name for a TWH. My first choices were Chance's Gold Delight and Chance's Golden Delight, if that's any help. Obviously they were very close to each other, so I guess another horse had that name. But I did wonder if someone was saving it for a friend . . . My breeder friend has Zippo Pine Bar horses and always uses Zippo in the name. The Chance and Delight lines are well-known in TWHs, so that's why I used those. Anyone in the know can tell my filly is well-bred! |
