I was so caught up in everything else I never stopped to consider what type of grass might be in the field. Do any of you know if fescue grass will harm a young foal? Skittle is 9 days old today. I know that it may cause my mare to stop producing milk which will be horrible, but at this point we really have no option but to move them. The farm we're currently at said they have to be out ASAP, and we're very unhappy with the situation there anyway. I really can't afford to keep paying $300 a month in board, plus after the thousands of dollars we've both put into this new area we can't just let it go to waste. I plan on taking a sample of the grass to the local extention office to get it tested, but need to know what will happen if it is fescue and they are put on it.
