I ride my barrel horses up till the last trimester if you keep her on a good all around supplement (Platinum performance is great) then you can ride her harder but as she gets larger lay off or increase her feed because she needs every callorie for that baby.
As far as shots go give her a good couple weeks at the beginning to let the egg grow before puttin chemicals in her. After that, worm her regularly . I always give an abortion prevention shot and a five way about a month and a half before birth, and they have always been big and healthy. I hope this helps.

I rode my mareup until the end of January and the foal was due mid April. The work kept her fit and happy and she was out being a nanny to 4yr olds at cross country events in October too. I think it was one of the most beneficial things I did with her

I rode my mare until she started getting unconfortable at about 7 months. I wormed her after 90 days and gave her Rhino 5-7-9 months (so the mare doesn't abort) and gave her 4 way about 45 days before she was due and wormed her the day she foaled. I would definitly do the Rhino 5-7-9 months and I am sure you can ride her until she is big and uncomfy as long as she is getting fed right and has enough calories to feed the growing baby inside. Exercise is important throughout the pregnancy-even if you just walk her around- it makes the delivery easier.

Many will wait for 90 days, others will start just as soon as they breed, it is what you and your mare are comfy with. If she is use to it then chances are it won't be a problem. Again, if she is not use to it , waiting for 90 could pose a problem. Make sure you watch her cues and follow her lead. Every mare is different. Some mares you can ride lightly to the end, others end at 7 months or so. I learned to be a bit sympathic after I was pg. I then relized how they might be feeling. :-)

Good luck
