Out of the blue so to speak I am now on mare stare for 2 mares. We knew Breezy was getting closer and had pulled her in off pasture, she is our 13yr old Arab/TB, and this is her 3rd foal. She is progressing along nicely.
So I went for a hike yesterday afternoon, looked at Breezy and then figured I would check the other horses. We did not think Kiarra was due until the end of June, we obviously miscalculated, last week she looked like she did 2 months ago and WHAMO she now has an udder and seems to be progressing rapidly, this will be her first foal. I pulled her off pasture with the boys and she is now in with Breezy. She is reg APHA BS Sorrel and Classy's oldest daughter that we own. They are both bred to our AQHA stud.
So does anyone want to take a guess as to which one will go first LOL, right now my bets are on Kiarra.
First links are for Breezy's Pic from this morning.

I love the mare stare race, I have 4 mares this year that I don't have breeding dates on, we have a pool at the house betting on who might go first! My bet has been in the lead for the past few weeks but last night a come from behind mare has bagged up and begun to challenge her for the lead! Seriously you’ve got to do anything you can to keep from going totally nuts!

Megan Amen to that one. Another horse group I belong to we have had so many mares throw curve balls this year that everyone is about to give up on guessing. We have the mares who show all signs and then just go "HA HA HA Got Ya I was just checking to see if you were paying attention" And then the mares that say "Nope don't worry bout me, I'm not even close to being ready!" and the voila you look out the window or walk to the barn and there is a new baby standing there laughing hysterically with it's mom. Just have a knee slapping good time cause they fooled us to. ROFL

Marie, I just said whoa!! when I clicked on your pics of Breezy. Her belly is really pointed down in the middle. My mare's belly is still poking out both sides, way out!!! I don't know her due date so I'm just reading everyones posts and looking at pics trying to stay patient. Can't wait to put new baby pics on. Good luck!!!

Marie, Your horses are all BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Looks like you're going to be really busy soon!
Good luck! I think mares try to drive their owner insane. I know Missy has me going crazy!

Marie very nice mares looks like they are getting there, both look to be carrying colts, but for some reason I feel breezy is going to give you a filly this time....so says my gut. let me know what you get and how wrong or right my gut is. giggle. I feel kiarra is going to give you a colt. just a guess of course. :-) good luck.

Well Breezy and Kiarra are both still running neck and neck. Kiarra did have a small bead of wax on one teat this morning and actually her bag is fuller also so she may win this race. I will get some new pics this evening of both of them.
Thanks to everyone for the compliments on my girls.
Princess Raine & Classy are doing great. Raine will be 3 weeks old Sat and is coming along great on training. Halter, leading, feet, and grroming are all going awesome, but to me the best is her whinnying at me when she sees me and then her coming up to get loved on. I feel like I am on top of the world then.
Sending HAPPY FOALING VIBES out to all especially Stormy. That is going to be one special baby as long as it is taking.
Hope everyone has a great day and will try to get those pics up this evening.

Hey Marie, Good luck with the girls. Let me know who wins! Watch, they'll both be down foaling at the same time! Thanks for the foaling vibes...I sure need 'em! You hear that Missy?...Don't let this lady down, she's from our home town!
