My mare is 316 days and is appearing smaller everyday, narrower in width from front and rear view and whole butt area from side view, belly not hanging any more but filling out quite a bit in the flank area, she has been hollow in the flank area until 3 days ago. I am wondering if this is normal, why? last week she had one day of really abnormal shape(many will remember the photo post) and has been increasingly smaller looking since. no bag yet, tail head croup area softening, very irregular gate, looks very uncoordinated. any info regarding this would be very helpful and comforting if normal or do you think a vet visit is needed?
thanks! kris
