HI! I was wondering if anyone could recommend any books, videos or have any ideas for imprinting? I really want to be able to do that. I know Clinton Anderson reccommended a book, but I couldn't remember what he said? Any idea? Thanks Elena |

Dr Robert Miller has a book and DVD on imprinting. He is meticulous about covering every inch of the foal which is all on the DVD. I warn you, he is not an actor! He is probably a great vet and the footage is very good, but it is kind of like watching a home video as far as the dialog and voice tone! I found the information very helpful and I did not have one unanswered question on the subject when I was through watching. Here is the link to his site: http://www.robertmmiller.com/ |

I would take $30 for both + actual shipping. The video was viewed once and was purchased brand new. The book is in great shape - it has a few impressions on the lower left corner of the cover(I looks like someone used it to write on another paper and the pen marks made the impressions). I can send you a picture of them if you would like. |

Hi Sue, nope that would be fine, I don't want to jump in line though, since you offered it to Elena first, I'll take it if she declines. Don't want to be rude! |

I have met and talked with Robert Miller and his imprinting methods are great! Be aware though, that each task of imprinting must be thoroughly completed once you begin. If you are working with the ears (for example) and you stop before the foal is completey desensitized, you can create an aversion to having the ears touched at all. Also, never, never confuse imprinting a foal with spoiling a foal. |
